Intelligence Artificial

Goals & Purpose

The purpose of the working group is to explore, analyze, and promote the ethical, responsible, and effective use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Health Technology Assessment (HTA) processes in the Region of the Americas, as well as the HTA of emerging AI-based technologies. The group seeks to strengthen institutional capacities, foster regional collaboration, and generate technical recommendations for the integration of AI into health systems.

  • Develop technical, ethical, and methodological guidelines for the integration of AI in ETS.
  • Promote the use of AI in processes such as evidence search, modeling, data analysis, and report generation.
  • Promote AI training and capacity building for ETS teams.
  • Explore the impact of AI on clinical, regulatory, and public policy decision-making.
  • Systematize experiences and best practices in the region.
